THE NEXT IDEA CREATIVITY WEEKEND: Exploring the Art, Science and Spirit
of Creativity
See http://www.creativityinstitute.net
for full details about the weekend.
October 23-26, 2008 New Lebenon, N.Y.
PAINT YOUR FUTURE
The more clearly you can envision the life you want and adjust your words and actions to match, the more easily you can manifest that future. The movie The Secret recently called attention to this metaphysical Law of Attraction. In this session, a
professional artist will guide you in the use of watercolor paint to create images of the future you want. We will also use simple mind-body techniques to relax and open to the muse. Career, relationships, and home changes are not always by our choice. We can always, however, choose our response to change. No painting experience is necessary whatsoever.

This is an introduction to the materials and mechanics of oil painting
as well as the fundamentals of visual language. You will learn about composition,
drawing, values, and color while working from still life and other projects.
Attention will be paid to each student's creative choices and development
in a structured environment. No experience necessary. Limited to 16.
WATERCOLOR PAINTING
Offered
spring and summer terms through Cambridge Center for Adult Education.
For more information, search for "Sheri Kennedy" or "painting"
at www.CCAE.org. Watercolor
is a translucent medium that sinks into the fibre of a sheet of paper,
releasing the light from the surface. Watercolor dries fast, enabling
one to work quickly with freshness and spontaneity. In this class, we
will address the fundamentals of watercolor painting, but emphasis will
be on exploration and personal expression. Bring supplies to first class;
list sent to registrants. Limited to 16.
